The unbearable miseries of Democrats

Democrats and the Left have a long and ever-expanding list of concerns: climate change, white supremacy, rising sea levels, non-organic vegetables, insufficient diversity, COVID, systemic racism, population growth, pronouns, Fox News, Donald Trump, and now, Giorgia Meloni, just to name a few.

Conservatives, on the other hand, have relatively few concerns, such as individual freedom, economic growth, law and order, secure borders, sanctity of life, the importance of families, and the U.S. Constitution. These are values conservatives have treasured since at least the founding of our nation.

There are also qualitative differences between the concerns of liberals and conservatives. Unlike those of the Right, the concerns of the Left are negative. Theirs are also without substantive foundations, clear definitions, logic, or evidence. They are unrecognizable exaggerations of reality. Compared to Democrats, conservatives are worry free.

The frequent additions to their long list of anxiety-causing concerns suggest that the Democrat Party suffers from a kind of collective attention deficit disorder. Democrats and the Left occupy a world fraught with peril, a world in which happiness is impossible.

The anxieties of Democrats lead to enormous costs for the rest of the population. Their hysteria regarding fossil fuels is one of countless examples. Their restrictions on drilling, fracking, and the cancellation of pipelines have caused a doubling of natural gas, gasoline, and diesel fuel prices. Partly because natural gas is the main raw material for fertilizer, food prices have also risen substantially.

The supposed threat of climate change is a favorite issue the Left uses to fan the flames of anxiety. It’s an all-purpose specter that has been highly effective in frightening millions, especially children. The Earth’s climate is an extremely complex subject, but Democrats conveniently ignore that fact. They abide by W. C. Fields’ famous dictum, “Never smarten up a chump.”

Similarly, COVID and the accompanying lockdowns typify the Democrats. It is now clear they grossly exaggerated the threat of the virus and abused it for the largest and most destructive power grab in U.S. history. They coerced us all to behave in absurd and repressive ways -- masks, social distancing, untested and dangerous vaccines, and horrible isolation. The fear of COVID resulted in many more deaths than COVID itself. The lockdowns were crimes against humanity. Those responsible should be punished as criminals.

The Democrat Party has until now been adept at exploiting fear wherever it can to increase its power and control. Individual and societal choices are better based on courage than fear. As Helen Keller said, “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.”

The time is ripe to rid ourselves of the miserable fearmongers.

There's got to be lots of Biden buyer's remorse out there now

The Biden administration has been a disaster from day one. All sentient persons know it, even those in deep denial.

Before Biden became president, our economy was humming along, as it usually does. To keep it working well, the main requirement was to keep out of its way and to keep bureaucrats and politicians in check. Joe Biden did the exact opposite and we're all paying an enormous price for it.

The millions of Americans who voted for Biden cannot be surprised about how it's turned out. Joe Biden had a fifty-year history of being an embarrassingly incompetent and corrupt politician. His voters were willfully blind to that reality. How many of them lament voting for him?

Anyone who voted for Biden-Harris enabled this disaster. We are now saddled with two and a half more years of deliberate damage done by this administration. The policy choices made thus far have been so harmful that even Democrats are looking for ways out. However, there is no obvious way to end the destruction until 2024, thirty months from now. A President Harris would just be more of the same.

Democrats and the media pretend there's still a possibility that Biden will run for a second term. There is no way that will happen, but they have to go through the motions so as to keep him from being a lame duck this early in his first term.

Democrats ought to be furious at their party leaders, and many of them are. Those leaders are responsible for Biden and Harris being in the White House. Joe Biden was supposedly the best they had. But he has been the worst president in our country's history, and all the other candidates would have been just as bad or worse.

For the past many years, the Democrat bench has been a totally uninspiring, unimpressive, motley collection of losers. Now they're even talking about having Hillary run again in 2024.

Relatively few voters actually voted for Joe Biden. Most voted from a basis of intense hatred — primarily of Donald Trump, but also of Republicans in general.

Why do Democrats hate Trump so much? The main reason is his effectiveness in defeating the Democrat agenda. They hate him because he's not a John McCain, Mitt Romney, or Mitch McConnell. They hate too the fact that he's not a wimp. Conservative Republicans love fighters; progressive Democrats love spineless weaklings. Trump is a plain-talking, take-no-prisoners fighter and the opposite of an establishment swamp creature.

Trump knows how to get things done. He got things done despite the most resistance ever experienced by an American president. Democrats lied about him and sabotaged him from the very beginning.

The Democrats got their wish. They prevented Trump from winning a second term, at least for the time being. To accomplish that they sold their souls. The party is paying, and will continue to pay, a high price for doing so. It is hemorrhaging voters. Democrats now realize that November will bring electoral carnage in its wake. One of the truest of all adages is "cheaters never win."

Is the Democrat Party terminal?

The Democrat Party is on the wrong side of every single issue — borders, law enforcement, parents vs. teachers, inflation, Critical Race Theory, school choice, cancel culture, lockdowns, masks, individual freedom, gasoline prices, pipelines, wokism, unrestricted abortions, and a president who has dementia, just to name a few.

Does the party have a death wish? We have all known persons who are self-destructive. That behavior can afflict groups as well as individuals.

The Democrat Party and the left foster self-hatred. They believe that our country is irrevocably racist and is destroying the planet by using fossil fuels.

The Democrat establishment and most of its voters are racked by guilt. Unless they join a monastery, they have no choice but to participate in the system they believe is destroying our future.

The Democrats have lost their self-preservation instinct and their will to live. Just look at the party's lack of concern about its hemorrhaging loss of support among its traditional bases — blacks, Hispanics, Asians, mothers, and independents. The breadth of the damage is unprecedented. In all likelihood, the party is too far gone ever to regain its former status and influence.

The party's problems are deep-seated, rooted in the sick nature of what it has become. The United States has been a two-party country throughout its history. Will that be enough for the party to survive in some form?

The Democrat party is headed for election losses of monumental proportions this November. When that happens, what will be the party's response?

The Democrats are stuck. Most of the party leaders who got them into this mess will still be there after the election. Self-awareness and accountability are definitely not what the Democrats are known for. They will not get the message.

Biden and Harris are a cancer on the Democrat party

The Democrat Party has maneuvered itself into an insoluble problem. By whatever means necessary the party managed to get its candidates into the White House. However, it will turn out to be the costliest victory ever for a political party.

How did Joe Biden and Kamala Harris become the Democrat nominees? At the beginning of the 2020 Democrat primary season, there were 24 presidential hopefuls. As each was vetted, various kinds of disqualifying information surfaced and, one by one (starting with Harris), they fell by the wayside. It became obvious that none was presidential material.

The last two standing were Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders. Because Sanders is an unrepentant socialist, the Democrat party knew he had little chance against Donald Trump. That left the non compos mentis Joe Biden.

Once Biden nailed down the nomination, he had the chance to choose a running mate. Because of the priorities of the Democrat party, it was a relatively simple choice, based on a single consideration—identity politics.

Despite her empty list of career accomplishments, Kamala Harris satisfied two of the party’s victimhood categories—black and female. Her success in the Democrat party happened by way of who she “knew” rather than what she knew. Her sole “qualification” was the only one they cared about—identity, a la identity politics.

In selecting candidates, competence and achievement never crossed the minds of the party establishment. The Biden-Harris administration is what happens when a political party deems merit irrelevant.

You may recall that in 2008 Barack Obama retrieved Biden from the Democrats’ dumpster to be his running mate. Identity politics was not as important then, and Biden was ideal for another role always expected of a running mate—don’t outshine the person at the top of the ticket.

Biden and Harris are incompetent, bumbling, empty suits who haven’t the earthliest idea what they’re doing. They are a disgrace to the offices they hold. They have no beliefs and no vision. Joe Biden has never had good judgment, and now adding to that is his advancing dementia. Kamala Harris has never had a thought or utterance worth remembering. About the best that could be said about her is that she does not have dementia, not that it matters. She is a nitwit in service of the party’s monomaniacal identity obsession.

It’s impossible to imagine what the atmosphere in the White House must be like these days. The people there experience firsthand the man who isn’t there, the dead president walking. It would be fun to see the looks they give one another. Their “leader” is the proverbial crazy uncle in the basement, except this crazy uncle isn’t in the basement, he’s in the Oval Office.

To survive, the Democrat party must rid itself of Biden and Harris. If both remain in office, the party implodes, taking many of its cronies down with it. Numerous leftist institutions—mainstream media, teachers’ unions, Black Lives Matter, climate alarmists, and universities, have a symbiotic relationship with the party and they will all suffer.

The Biden-Harris administration is nothing short of a malignancy that will fester and spread for three more years. The party has no easy solutions. Amputating Biden and Harris may not even solve its deep-seated problems. Any moderate Democrat replacement such as Tulsi Gabbard wouldn’t have a prayer against the party’s uncompromising, far-left base. There is not a single alternative Democrat politician who is noticeably better than Biden or Harris, whether it be Hillary Clinton, Andrew Cuomo, Debbi Wasserman Schultz, Bill de Blasio, Pete Buttigieg, Beto O’Rourke, or Al Sharpton. All on the Democrat bench are plagued with political comorbidities.

It will be interesting to watch the Democrat Party as it tries to extricate itself from this self-inflicted political nightmare.

The big difference between Democrats and Republicans

◼ The big difference between Democrats and Republicans - American Thinker

My father often said persuasion is better than force. I doubt he knew how universally true that is.

You've probably heard many times someone say there's no difference between Democrats and Republicans. That is just plain wrong. The choice of persuasion or force is the central difference between the Republican and Democrat parties. For the most part, Republicans dislike the use of force, and Democrats dislike the use of persuasion, especially persuasion in the form of free speech.

Why the Democrats' lack of interest in free speech and their reliance on force? They have no confidence in the strength and soundness of their ideas. Most of their policies are counterproductive disasters. They don't know how to be persuasive. It's too hard for them. Force is their default. Their intolerance of free speech has become painfully clear — witness the cancel culture, censorship, and the lifetime lockout of Donald Trump from Twitter. Censorship prevents and cancels opportunities for persuasion. Democrat tech oligarchs, in particular, hate persuasion. They fear it. How the tech tyrants have chosen to use their power shows a degree of arrogance beyond anything ever seen in America. Their lust for domination knows no bounds.

Democrats are not satisfied just outcompeting their opponents; they want to crush them. They aim to humiliate them so thoroughly that they or no one like them ever tries anything like this again. They seek to destroy not only Donald Trump, but anyone who ever agreed with any position he ever advocated.

The Democrat tech tyrants, specifically, are the biggest private-sector bullies ever. If there were guillotines available they would use them. Their Trump Derangement Syndrome only intensified as he was on his way out the door. They want revenge, and they want blood. We're witnessing a revival of the French Revolution.

Big Tech has become the greatest concentration of power that's ever existed in the private economy. It used to be that "conspiracy in restraint of trade" was a violation of our anti-trust laws. Don't expect Joe Biden's administration to start enforcing those laws. The tech oligarchs have been far too useful to the Democrat party.

The Big Tech corporations wield their power in the form of censorship and suppression, both being extremely destructive forms of force. Without free speech, America cannot be America. If you erase a person's freedom, you erase the person.

Democrats prefer force because they detest a free citizenry. They scorn the First Amendment. During the lockdowns politicians and power-mad Democrat health officials wiped their feet on it, especially on those parts about freedom of speech, assembly, and religion.

The Founding Fathers specified a free press in the Bill of Rights because they knew that a free press is crucial in limiting the power of government. We now have a situation where the press has become so one-sided it is no longer "free." The media conform so thoroughly that their pathetic members have no minds of their own. They use the exact same words and phraseology in their reporting.

Meanwhile, Democrat politicians have gushed over the opportunity to wield force bestowed on them by the virus lockdowns. Sad to say, they have actually fallen in love with the virus itself. It has been a cornucopia for those thirsting for power.

Concentrated power inevitably leads to the use of force because humans do not give up their freedom without a fight. Our Founding Fathers recognized that threat. While the primary purpose of the Constitution is to limit the power of government, more generally it restricts the concentration of power. As Lord Acton said, "power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

Power generates its own gravity that forever pulls more power toward it. That's what we're seeing now with the Democrat tech giants and the Democrat lockdowns. Dictators and tyrants always want absolute power. That's why unchecked power brings on totalitarianism.

To err is human and unavoidable. Progress can happen only through a process of trial and error. The smaller the trial, the smaller the error. The more small trials, the more progress. But when absolute power errs, the damage is massive.

Democrats Have Created Scores of First-Time Trump Voters

Parents, sports fans, new gun owners, and more have plenty of reasons to go red this time around.

The Democrat Party has chosen the wrong side of several crucial issues in 2020. For that they will pay a high price.

They have inadvertently created several groups of first-time Trump voters.

One such group is parents of school children. In part because of fealty to teachers unions, Democrats have strongly resisted fully reopening public schools. As a result, millions of parents have become involuntary home-schoolers. It would only be natural for these parents to lean toward President Trump, whose Secretary of Education has been vocal in her support for fully reopening all schools.

Also ripe for becoming first-time Trump voters are millions of people who are fed up with other coronavirus lockdowns, where draconian mask mandates have become irresistible opportunities for petty tyrants and busybodies to lord it over their fellow citizens.

In her 1902 book The Open Door, Helen Keller wrote, “Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”

Joe Biden loves masks and is seldom seen without one. President Trump rarely wears one. Mask haters will not miss either message.

Turning to “fracking,” President Trump expresses his enthusiastic support for it at almost every one of his rallies. Joe Biden is for or against it depending on his audience.

If fracking were prohibited, gasoline and natural gas prices would double. Fracking has allowed the U.S. to be energy independent for the first time in decades, freeing us from unfriendly and unreliable foreign countries. Voters aware of those benefits will gravitate in droves toward Trump.

Professional sports leagues, especially the NFL and NBA, are busy self-annihilating. Viewership for the NBA finals is down 48 percent from a year ago and the lowest since records have been kept. Sunday night NFL ratings are down 39 percent. Most of their millions of fans simply do not want athletes and craven franchise owners to sermonize them. Anyone who loves this country detests seeing players insult the flag and national anthem.

Donald Trump has been a staunch critic of such behavior, even being against having an NFL season at all if players were going to kneel. In contrast, Democrats have joined the kneelers in boosting Black Lives Matter. Nationwide polls indicate collapsing support for BLM. That could translate into millions more first-time Trump voters.

In the first six months of this year five million Americans bought guns for the first time, largely in response to Democrat-enabled riots and support of defunding the police. In each successive month, the number of new gun owners broke the previous month’s record. Those five million new Second Amendment supporters are highly unlikely to vote for Joe Biden. They alone could swing the election to Trump.

If the above political undercurrents generate enough first-time Trump voters, he will not be the only candidate to benefit. To the Democrats’ dismay, there will be significant “down-ballot” repercussions throughout the country.

Democrats Are Dying From Exposure And so are their chances in November.

The Democrat Party has turned hard left. By doing so, the party has unintentionally exposed itself. Ambiguity and obfuscation are the Democrats’ stock in trade. They distort words, and they abuse the English language. They use words and phrases that sound good but are impossible to define — for example, environmental justice, intergenerational justice, climate change, and sustainability.

Such deception is crucial for the party’s survival. But the deception has become harder to sustain.

More than anyone else, Donald Trump is responsible for exposing the Democrats. They detest him and his achievements so much that their judgment has been annihilated. With new clarity, their reactions say far more about themselves than him. He is causing them to take leave of their sanity.

They hate Trump so much that they can’t celebrate his accomplishments. They even demeaned the killing of an evil and savage terrorist, Qassem Soleimani. But their insane hatred has put them in a bind.

Donald Trump has set up camp inside their brains. They should not have let him do that. They will live to regret it.

The phrase “driven to distraction” applies to what’s happening to the Democrats. “Distraction” is defined variously as lack of concentration, confusion, extreme mental or emotional disturbance, frenzy, and madness.

Donald Trump distracts the Democrats from concealing what they are. That makes him a threat to everything they hold dear. His spirit alone scares the hell out of them. He’s the greatest menace they have ever faced.

One revealing jolt to what’s left of the Democrats’ masquerade occurred at the recent Golden Globe awards ceremonies. The emcee, comedian Ricky Gervais, told the attendees, in no uncertain terms, what an out-of-touch, self-important bunch of phonies they all are. He told them, “You’re in no position to lecture the public about anything. You know nothing about the real world.”

Gervais was only stating the obvious. It was an “emperor’s new clothes” moment if there ever was one.

Gervais’s observations were both brilliant and simple. They were so obviously true they were impossible to deny. He let the puffed-up Hollywood elites have it right between the eyes. Someone suggested recently that it may be comedians who rescue our culture.

Trump Derangement Syndrome has ensnared the Democrats. Even their misbegotten impeachment fiasco has morphed into one big exposé of themselves. All such frantic attempts to drive Donald Trump from office have only made him more popular. They are making fools of themselves, for all the world to see.

Who, upon seeing the Democrats clearly for what they are, can still support them?

What Joe Biden’s Poll Numbers Are Saying

They’re saying his Democrat rivals are even more awful.

It’s fascinating how eager the Democrat Party’s leadership and base are for a late entrant into the 2020 presidential race. One problem is there is nobody waiting in the wings who is any better than the announced candidates.

There is a poverty of leadership in the Democrat Party. That poverty has been developing for decades — Jimmy Carter, Michael Dukakis, Al Gore, Bill Clinton, John Kerry, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Nancy Pelosi.

True, Barack Obama was elected and reelected. But after just three years there is almost nothing left of his legacy. Hillary Clinton was a disastrous candidate. Amazingly, she was actually the best the Democrat Party had to offer. Since she lost, she has been reminding everyone just what a detestable person she is.

From the time he announced his 2020 campaign, Joe Biden has held the lead among Democrats in national polls. That fact says more about the other candidates than about Biden.

This is Joe’s third try. His earlier ones were in 1988 and 2008.

An issue in the current campaign is his age — 77. In his other runs, his age was not an issue.

Just how well did Joe do in those earlier tries? He did not last long in either one. In the 1988 campaign, Biden didn’t make it to the Iowa caucuses. It was discovered that he had plagiarized a campaign speech, plagiarized a law school term paper, and exaggerated his class ranking in law school. He threw in the towel on September 17, 1987, before even reaching the starting line. Joe was a bad candidate.

In the 2008 campaign, Biden did make it to the Iowa caucuses, but he got less than 1 percent of the vote, placing fifth after Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Edwards (remember him?), and Bill Richardson. Biden’s loss was so crushing he immediately dropped out of the race. Joe was a bad candidate.

Now, in 2020, Joe Biden is leading the pack. How weird. Has something happened in the last 12 years to cause his popularity to skyrocket? Was he the best vice president ever? No, it’s the same Joe Biden, and he’s still a bad candidate. He can barely structure a complete sentence, let alone a complete thought, and he is more scandal-ridden than ever. What has changed is the stature of his rivals.

Looking at Biden’s competitors, it’s hard to imagine a more boring lineup of contenders. There isn’t a drop of charisma in the entire lot. None of them are presidential material. They’re a motley collection of dead candidates running.

What Joe Biden’s poll numbers are saying is that his rivals are even worse candidates than he is.

Come November, even voters who do not like Trump will have difficulty voting for whichever Democrat is nominated. Instead, those voters may just stay home.

If Donald Trump didn’t love campaigning so much, he probably wouldn’t bother.

Democrats Eat Trump’s Dust

One more reason for all their resentments.

In spite of brazen attempts by Democrats to fabricate, exaggerate, distort, sabotage, and cheat, Donald Trump has worked economic wonders.

The U.S. unemployment rate has reached its lowest level in half a century. That’s rare historically and rare relative to what’s happening in the rest of the world.

In addition, the rates for women and minorities are the lowest ever recorded — ironic accomplishments for a president whom the Democrats have repeatedly branded as a racist and a sexist.

These are achievements of enormous importance, but there has been surprisingly little celebration or even notice. One who recognizes their significance is President Trump himself. He has proclaimed numerous times that the economy has never been better. That’s not an exaggeration. As the baseball great Dizzy Dean famously said, “It ain’t braggin’ if you can do it.”

A job is a major boon to happiness. It provides a purpose in life and an income, and it makes a person a contributor rather than a burden to society. On-the-job training is the most tried and true way to enhance a person’s market value and make future raises likely, and it is especially important given the sad state of public education in America.

Low unemployment doesn’t just happen. It is the product of robust economic growth.

Why has our economic growth rate doubled since Donald Trump took office? He simply believed greater economic growth was possible. Barack Obama did not. Optimism works.

Economic growth inevitably leads to higher incomes. We are currently experiencing the first real increases in average incomes in several decades. Government welfare programs help people far less than robust economic growth.

Trump’s main contribution to all this has been to get out of the way of the creativity, innovation, energy, optimism, risk-taking, and ambition of the American people. Like Ronald Reagan, Trump’s objective has been to get government “off people’s backs.” Dealing with big government and excessive regulations is like trying to run through knee-deep mud. Like Reagan, Trump knows that the key is to do less, not more.

Donald Trump also knows that the source of economic growth and prosperity resides in the private sector, not the government. Democrats accuse him of being power-hungry, but the opposite is true. He recognizes the limitations of the presidency.

Economic growth has always been the exception, not the rule. Throughout most of human history it was nonexistent. It only started in earnest about 250 years ago.

Never has there been a setting as conducive to ambition and talent as is the United States of America today. It’s probably the main reason why so many want to immigrate here. The U.S. is the wealthiest nation in history because it is the best environment for creativity and wealth creation. That environment can be made even better, allowing even faster economic growth. That is just what Donald Trump would like to do.

In most societies, individual creativity and ambition have been suppressed rather than unleashed. Three current, extreme examples are Cuba, Venezuela, and North Korea. The economies of these socialist countries are shrinking, not growing.

Why with a booming economy aren’t we seeing more inflation? One factor is that the U.S. economy is more competitive than ever before. The competition for consumers’ dollars, the array of choices available, has never been so great, and the availability and accessibility of information are wider than ever.

A market is any setting where buyers and sellers connect and allow voluntary exchange to happen. The internet has expanded the ways buyers find sellers, and sellers find buyers — eBay, craigslist, Uber, and Airbnb, just to name a few. Uber and Lyft represent the first real competition taxicabs have faced in a hundred years. Anyone wanting to get from point A to point B now has faster, cheaper alternatives. The technology used by such companies puts their hidebound competitors to shame.

The number of ways people have to spend their money has increased exponentially. With consumers having much easier access to information about prices and alternatives, it’s much harder for vendors to raise prices.

Another major contributor to stable prices and economic growth has been the greater supply of oil and natural gas, primarily due to fracking and horizontal drilling, both of which are American innovations. They have increased energy abundance around the globe (but not in New York state, where fracking is outlawed).

Energy prices are equivalent to a “super-price” that reverberates throughout the economy. Low energy prices benefit the bottom line of virtually every enterprise and ease the budget of every consumer.

During Bill Clinton’s first presidential run, his campaign manager, James Carville, often proclaimed, “It’s the economy, stupid.” The Democrats must hope it’s no longer true, but there’s no reason to think it isn’t.

Although they can’t admit it, the Democrats have now put themselves in the strange position of hoping for a recession; they camouflage their hope as a prediction. There is not a single compelling indication, however, that a recession is on the horizon. Predicting anything as massive, decentralized, and complex as the U.S. economy is impossible.

Democrats can’t allow themselves to celebrate the deaths of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and his second-in-command because they happened while Donald Trump was commander-in-chief, and they can’t mention the historic good health of the American economy for the same reason.

The Democrat Party has become an agglomeration of Debbie Downers. Their debates have been spectacles of gloom and pessimism. The Trump rallies are the exact opposite — happy, enthusiastic, and fun, with twice as many people wanting to attend as can be admitted even at a large venue.

This Thanksgiving, just be thankful you’re not a Democrat!

A Grotesque Political Party

The Democrat Party has descended into weirdness, emptiness, and obsession.

The United States has a long tradition of reliance on a two-party political structure. For that structure to function effectively both parties need to be competent and responsible. Unfortunately, that is not the case now.

The lineup of Democrat presidential candidates currently stands at 25 and growing. Conrad Black has aptly described them as “unelectable non-entities.” The long and growing list is more like a tower of babel than a collection of credible leaders. Evidence of that is that leading the race currently is former senator and vice president Joe Biden.

Beyond the confines of the Democrat Party the reaction to Biden’s candidacy is typically, “Is this a joke?” Joe Biden? The guy is a goof. He is known primarily for his gaffes, flip-flops, plagiarism, and unwelcome advances toward women. The very fact he is leading the race is a sad indictment on all the other candidates.

The unreality of all the candidates’ policy positions, e.g. the Green New Deal, sanctuary cities, open borders, unlimited taxpayer-funded abortions, should be obvious to all sentient beings.

Democrats label all Trump supporters as racists, just as Hillary Clinton labeled them all “deplorables.” Trump supporters are seen as homogeneous members of a collective. It’s another variation on the Party’s addiction to identity politics and also a good definition of bigotry.

I don’t know about you but I don’t appreciate being labeled a racist by people who’ve never met me and know nothing about me. Racism is one of the ugliest of all slurs, one that is almost impossible to defend against. It is a Democrat proclivity that will surely shrink their voter base.

Furthermore, what is their definition of a racist? It must include every person who’s ever had a fleeting thought of racial differences. That’s the only way you could get tens of millions of “racists.” The entire party has become a bunch of Jussie Smollett clones.

Why do they rely so much on accusations of racism? Because it works, because they have nothing else, and because they have no shame.

Democrats also have the annoying habit of making wild, unsubstantiated exaggerations. Three examples are the significance and prevalence of “white supremacy,” “Russian meddling,” and “voter suppression.” Such accusations are never defined and never quantified.

The dearth of leaders for the party is nothing new. Consider who their previous nominees were — Bill Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton. What a strange collection of characters. To paraphrase William F. Buckley, “I’d rather be governed by the first 24 names in the phone book than any of these people.”

Hillary Clinton was an incredibly bad candidate. Why was she nominated? Amazingly, it was because she was the best they had! We can thank our lucky stars she’s not president and Bill is not the “first gentleman.”

Nancy Pelosi is currently the most powerful Democrat. She is the face of the party (as well as the hands). Is she someone who will inspire independents to become Democrats? Democrats love her. Conservatives can barely stand to look at her.

The most incompetently managed, crime-ridden cities in the country are run solely by Democrats. If they can’t run cities why would anyone want them to run the country? Those cities should be seen as canaries in the coal mine.

“Impeach Trump!” Would you mind telling me for what, specifically? Could you name just one of his “crimes and misdemeanors?” They’ve offered nothing but a bunch of vacuous accusations, e.g. he’s “unfit” to be president.

The Mueller report took 22 months and could not find any collusion or obstruction. It was based on something so flimsy and ludicrous it should not have taken more than 22 minutes to evaluate and reject. Even now the Democrats cannot let go of it.

To Democrats way of thinking the very thought of Donald Trump being president is simply too horrible to contemplate. He has driven the Democrats to distraction.

As Victor Davis Hanson wrote recently, “One way of envisioning the Democratic obsession with Trump is as an addiction.” Unfortunately, there are no rehab programs for political parties.

The Anatomy of a Self-Annihilating Political Party

The Democrat Party has lost its mind. What’s happening there, however, is not happening in isolation. In society and in life nothing happens in isolation.

There’s a word that describes the Party’s behavior: nihilism: “a viewpoint that traditional values and beliefs are unfounded and that existence is senseless and useless, a doctrine that denies any objective ground of truth and especially moral truths.”

That definition fits the current Democrat Party. The Party and the left place little or no value on tradition, the Constitution, the sanctity of life, borders, private property rights, voting-law enforcement, election outcomes, standards of behavior, or free speech. These are all fundamentally different kinds of rules or systems of rules. The left does not like rules (at least not for themselves).

If you do not like rules, you do not like order, and the alternative to order is chaos. The Democrat Party is attempting to lead the country into chaos. Once you recognize that the Democrat Party is nihilistic it becomes easier to understand why they think and act as they do.

Jordan Peterson’s profoundly brilliant and important book is titled 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote for Chaos. In it he writes “Chaos and order make up the eternal, transcendent environment of the living.” Chaos and order also define one of the important differences between liberals and conservatives.

As President Trump has said, “If you don’t have borders you don’t have a country.” That’s actually fine with the Democrats and the left. For example, Democrats want to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE). They not only want to prevent more border wall being built, some of them want to tear down the wall already in place.

The messes that San Francisco, Chicago, and New York City have become are stark evidence of what happens when laws are no longer enforced. The left has more sympathy for law breakers than law enforcers. “Sanctuary cities” create immigration chaos. Virtually every belief and policy of the Democrat Party is fundamentally a war against order.

Democrat politicians and their enablers in the media believe “the end justifies the means.” They see nothing wrong with lying, distorting, making things up, or the violent termination of the essence of innocent life.

It isn’t just that the end justifies the means, it’s that if you reject “moral truths,” you don’t need to justify lying. It also explains why they have no shame.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the unofficial leader of the Democrat Party. AOC is the perfect standard bearer for how the Party is evolving. She has zero real-world experience (beyond making martinis and margaritas). She hasn’t the slightest idea what’s she’s talking about. Her Green New Deal is little more than a utopian hallucination. Nevertheless, she is the most popular Democrat. More than anyone else, she defines the party.

Democrats’ fascination with AOC shows that they place no value on experience, maturity, or judgment. She did not invent chaos, but she embodies it, particularly mental chaos.

Beyond nihilism the Democrat Party is motivated by hate and the negativity. Their decision rule is, “If Donald Trump is for it, we’re against it.” If his goal is to “make America great again,” they’ll do everything they can to prevent that from happening.

They hate Donald Trump first and foremost because he won. They hate him because he is the exact opposite of who they are. He is positive, they are negative. They hate his supporters because they caused him to win.

A Chinese proverb says, “Hate destroys the container in which it is stored.” And Martin Luther King said “Hate destroys the hater.” No political party can sustain itself on hate. They apparently have little else.

College campuses provide much of the raw material for negativity and nihilism. There it comes under the name “postmodernism.”

Postmodernism is “post because it denies the existence of ultimate principles, and it lacks the optimism of there being a scientific, philosophical, or religious truth which will explain everything to everybody, a characteristic of the so-called modern mind.” It denies the existence of any universal truths and even denies that logic exists.

Postmodernism is as dangerous and destructive philosophy as has ever been conceived. It is as direct a route to evil as you could ever find.

If there aren’t such things as facts and no objective reality, there’s no point in learning anything or needing to think clearly. There’s no difference between a lie and the truth. That explains the media’s comfort with fake news. They simply see no distinction between fake and real. It explains how Democrats can still advocate socialism despite its perfect record of disasters and why they never bother explaining how their trillion dollar ideas will be financed. Nothing they say needs to make any sense.

The mission for conservatives is to make people aware of the danger of what is happening. The Democrat Party is doing well in that regard on its own. But this will be a long-lived war. Conservatives have a champion in the White House but he needs all the support he can get. He has many enemies, he’s going to need lots of friends.

What’s Revealed by the Harvey Weinstein Saga

The significance of the Harvey Weinstein saga is what it reveals not just about him but rather the entire Democrat party, its leaders, and its supporters. Furthermore, it demonstrates the vast difference between the Democrat and Republican parties.

For Democrats Harvey Weinstein is nothing new. He’s more of the same. There’s little difference between Harvey Weinstein, John Kennedy, Ted Kennedy, Bill Clinton and countless other Democrat politicians and their enablers.

Any large group of humans will include some who are reprehensible. What’s notable about the names above is that in spite of their disgraceful behavior they’ve been elevated to the highest levels of leadership and admiration in one of America’s two major political parties. The Democrat party leaders and their voters apparently have not the slightest problem having abusers of women leading their party or being major campaign donors.

What is the Democrat party’s ethic? It is this: if it feels good, do it. If that’s not the Democrat ethic, what is? It’s clearly not the Ten Commandments, and it’s not “do unto others…” The proof is becoming increasingly obvious and the evidence has been accumulating for decades.

Democrats revere John Kennedy. For nineteen months between 1962 until shortly before his death in 1963 Kennedy carried on a sexual relationship with a 19-year-old intern, Mimi Alford. Four days after she arrived in the White House Kennedy “date raped” Alford who was at the time a virgin.

Although Kennedy had sex with Alford on numerous occasions both in the White House and on presidential trips, he never kissed her. He was, of course, married to Jackie during the entire period. The idyllic Kennedy marriage was a fraud, bought hook-line-and-sinker by Democrats and never questioned by the sycophantic media even though it was well aware of Kennedy’s numerous affairs while he was president.

The party that rails about the unfairness of inequality reveres leaders who exploit inequality. The inequality they exploit is about as wide as it gets, e.g. between a young, vulnerable intern and a middle-aged President of the United States.

Alford kept the abuse secret for over forty years. When it was finally reported by someone else Alford confirmed what had happened and eventually wrote a book entitled Once Upon a Secret. Alford’s story is fascinating and poignant. The abusive relationship left a wake of considerable psychological damage and feelings of guilt. Keeping what had happened to her a secret for all those years allowed Alford to avoid the life mangling notoriety that later befell Monica Lewinsky.

John’s youngest brother, Ted Kennedy, should have been charged with manslaughter for the death of Mary Jo Kopechne, a 29-year-old campaign volunteer whom he left to drown in a submerged car in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. Kennedy pleaded guilty to “leaving the scene of an accident after causing injury.” Causing “injury” is not quite accurate. He caused a young woman’s death. He received a two-month suspended sentence. If you’re a Kennedy in Massachusetts you can pretty much get away with murder. It was after Ted’s role in Kopechne’s death that Democrats started referring to him as “the Lion of the Senate.”

I dare anyone who admires and respects Bill Clinton to read the 1999 interview of Juanita Broaddrick, a Clinton campaign volunteer, by Lisa Myers, NBC’s chief investigative reporter at the time. You will probably conclude that Broderick is very credible and that she was raped by Bill Clinton. NBC has long denied requests to release the video of the interview.

At the time Clinton was the state attorney general for Arkansas. Since he was the highest ranking law official in the state, there was absolutely nothing Broaddrick could do about what Clinton had done to her. The office he held allowed him to commit violence on women without fear or consequence. He had power, she had none. One of the reasons Democrats relish power is what it allows them to do to those without power.

In a way the Democrats do have high standards, but only for Republicans. Democrats went positively apoplectic (and still do) in reaction to Donald Trump’s taped comments about what celebrities can get away with with women. His words were crude and better left unsaid. However, they were words, not actions.

Trump has done nothing that remotely compares to what numerous Democrat politicians have done to women. How do we know he hasn’t? Because if he had done such things you can be damn-well sure we would have heard about it. You can be absolutely certain the media would not have kept it secret.

The Democrat party is a warm and welcoming environment for philanderers, lechers, lotharios, creeps, mashers, and cheaters. By example, the Kennedys and the Clintons let it be known that their party would protect, defend, ignore, and hide any despicable behavior if it helps advance the Democrat agenda (especially abortion) and defeat Republicans.

On the left there is a far-reaching and effective conspiracy of silence, a major player being the media. As much as being purveyors of “fake news,” the media’s main damage is done with incomplete news and crimes of omission. Hollywood reporters have known since the 1980s about Harvey Weinstein’s perverted and disgusting behavior. They were, among many others, the ones who enabled Weinstein to continue his abuse of women for decades.

When you enable an alcoholic the damage done falls primarily on the alcoholic himself. When you enable an abuser/rapist the damage done is borne by innocent victims. All those who helped keep Harvey Weinstein’s squalid secrets are guilty accessories-after-the-fact to who knows how many avoidable victims.

The enablers should be profoundly ashamed of themselves and many of them probably are. Unfortunately, many of his enablers in the media are incapable of shame. A primary responsibility of the media is supposed to be shining the light of the day on such crimes. Their dereliction of duty is almost criminal.

The Weinstein mess has opened the flood gates for more women to come forward to reveal their abuse by politicians and entertainers. The other week in deep blue California, “More than 240 women around the state Capitol, including some of the most influential women in Sacramento politics, signed an open letter to declare that sexual harassment, and a culture that encourages it, exists in Sacramento.”

Democrat Assemblywomen Autumn Burke said she “was surprised to find rampant sexual harassment in a building of well-educated and well-regarded people.” According the San Francisco Chronicle, some of the women “[c]haracterized the male-dominated hierarchy in state politics as a breeding ground for misbehavior, much like the film industry.” It would have been more accurately described as the Democrat male-dominated hierarchy. Sacramento is infested with Democrats. Republicans are hard to find there.

The open-letter signers have taken to social media to post “me-too” messages, “disclosing long-closeted stories of being propositioned and harassed, belittled and demeaned and cornered and groped.” Closeting the stories for so long has allowed it to continue. One of the letter signers said staffers “have told her about men in the Capitol who make it known when their wives are out of town.” For Democrats, marriage vows are so yesterday.

Gavin Newsom is the current Lieutenant Governor in California and former mayor of San Francisco. He is the odds-on favorite for succeeding term-limited Jerry Brown as governor. Newsom is one of the small number of young rising stars in the Democrat party. In 2007 he admitted to having an affair with his best friend and campaign manager’s wife. In numerous glowing articles about Newsom, that fact is rarely mentioned. Swamp is a good description of Washington, D.C., but Sacramento smells even worse.

Another candidate for governor is Democrat Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. In 2007 it was revealed that he was having an affair with Telemundo news anchor Mirthala Salinas. According to the Los Angeles Times, “Villaraigosa’s admission casts a fresh shadow over his own personal conduct: He has two adult daughters born out of wedlock and his wife filed for divorce in 1994 over a separate affair for which he later publicly apologized. It may also have damaged his carefully crafted image as a family man. The revelation also raised ethical questions about Salinas’ decision to become involved with a politician she was covering as a journalist.”

Conservatives are frequently stunned when we witness the hypocrisy Democrats manage to get away with. Everyone is familiar with what’s called a “poetic license.” Somehow Democrats have managed to secure for themselves a “hypocrisy license.” It would be a wonderful day if that license got revoked.

Hypocrisy, however, is a misdemeanor compared to Democrats’ long record of disgusting behavior, abuse, and disrespect of women. We can only hope that recent events make it clear to more people that the Democrat party does not deserve their support.

Democrats have many times claimed that Republicans are waging “a war on women.” It appears that there is, in fact, a war on women, but the evidence indicates the soldiers are all Democrats. It’s far reaching and it has a long history.

Losing Power Has Left the Democrat Party Dazed and Confused

The Democrats know they are in trouble, but they probably don’t know just how deep the trouble is. At the national level the party is now further out of power than it’s been since 1928. This lack of power and control is a problem in and of itself, but it is an even larger problem for what it portends for the party’s future. The party’s problems are deep and systemic and there are no clear remedies.

For the first time in over three generations the Republican Party controls the U.S. Senate, the Congress, and the White House. In all probability, there will soon be a conservative, not liberal, Supreme Court. Not only is there a vacancy on the Supreme Court that Donald Trump can fill, there are 104 vacant federal judgeships waiting for his nominations when he takes office. The judiciary has been the left’s go-to option when they fail to achieve their objectives legislatively. This change in the nature of the judiciary could last for decades.

Lack of power has profound implications for Democrats. Power is the Party’s raison d’ĂȘtre and sine qua non. Without power the party is broke and broken.

Consider, for example, one crucial element of their reliance on “identity politics,” specifically, organized labor. Organized labor is perhaps the single most important and dependable factor in the Democratic Party’s long-term success. In fact, Britain’s equivalent of the Democrat Party is called the Labour Party.

Democrats rely on a perverse variation of voluntary exchange. In exchange for votes, campaign contributions, and election workers, Democrats deliver legislation and regulations favorable to unions. The system works well for both entities, but it only works so long as Democrats have the power to keep their part of the bargain.

On the other side of the quid pro quo, there has to be a sufficient population of union members in order to generate an adequate amount of campaign funds. Unfortunately for the Democrats, the percentage of the U.S. labor force in unions has declined from 20 percent in 1983 to 11 percent now. Less than seven percent of the private workforce is unionized. Thirty-five percent of government employees are union members, but that too is in jeopardy. When President Trump fills the current Supreme Court vacancy, mandatory union dues could well be ruled unconstitutional. That could be a double whammy — reduced union membership and a reduced supply of campaign funds. Trump has said that he wants to reduce the federal workforce by 20 percent. What a glorious accomplishment that would be.

Another major contributor to the Democratic Party’s past success has been the mainstream media, i.e. the major television networks and big city newspapers. The media could not have tried any harder than it did to get Hillary Clinton elected President. They did everything in their power to convince voters that Donald Trump was a despicable racist and sexist, someone who was absolutely “unfit” to be President. It didn’t work. They can’t simply double down on their efforts in the next election because they’ve already exhausted that option.

The media tried so hard to elect Hillary their intentions became blatant and their efforts became counterproductive. They may well have increased rather than decreased Donald Trump’s popularity. Not only did their efforts backfire, the media also paid a high price in terms of credibility.

The media’s influence and power depend on credibility and trust, both of which it used to possess. Credibility and trust are fragile and fleeting commodities. Once they’re lost, it’s almost impossible to get them back.

In the years leading up to the election Hillary Clinton was able to command fees of $200,000 or more for her boring and vacuous twenty-minute speeches. Why was anyone willing to pay her so much for so little? There was a not-too-subtle assumption that once she had the power of the presidency their generosity would be rewarded. The exorbitant fees were little more than prepaid bribes.

A small but nevertheless telling detail of the recent election was the outcome in Washington, D.C. There Hillary Clinton trounced Donald Trump 94 percent to four percent. Residents of D.C. obviously know which party has their best interests at heart, and it’s not the Republicans. The Democrat Party is unquestionably the party of big government and concentrated power, but that party lost, and it lost big. Smaller government means fewer government employees and fewer public-sector union members. Maybe Bill Clinton (Hillary’s pretend husband) was only premature when he famously proclaimed, “The era of big government is over.”

This new and novel (for Democrats) distance from power will not only hurt them in the future, it will even hurt them retrospectively. Because the Democrats used their recent power so arrogantly and incompetently, much of what they’ve accomplished will soon be erased. Not only is Obamacare on the verge of annihilation, so are most of Obama’s executive orders. Obama’s legacy will be the thinnest and most transitory in presidential history.

Democrats have held power for so long they are lost without it. Their anger and frustration is almost palpable. The party is lost in the wilderness without a compass. Let’s hope they stay there for a long time. Maybe they can break the Old Testament record.

The Democrats’ Chronic Leadership Shortage

It has to be depressing to be a Democrat right now. They are extremely disappointed with Obama but they have no obvious replacement.

Consider some possible scenarios. What if months from now Barack Obama is in the same or worse condition than he is now? What if he and everyone else realize that he is dead-candidate walking? One option would be to do an LBJ and announce that he’s not going to run for reelection. Another would be for some other Democrat to successfully challenge him in primaries.

The Democrats will not want to abandon Obama, but they want even less to lose the White House along with several House and Senate seats. A lopsided loss would do long-term damage to the party and liberalism. If the S.S. Obama is headed to the bottom of the sea, they will be jumping ship.

Their dilemma is, however, who do they have to replace him? Hillary Clinton is the name mentioned most often, but even Democrats have serious doubts about her as demonstrated by her 2008 primary loss to Obama. New York governor Andrew Cuomo has also been mentioned as a possible alternative. Besides those two choices their menu is not very appetizing — Joe Biden, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, or Debbie Wasserman Shultz. I can’t imagine any of those possibilities exciting even Democrats.

Now compare that situation to what’s going on among Republicans. If anything, the Republicans have too large a selection of attractive alternatives. It frustrates me that there can be only one nominee. I like most of the announced candidates as well as several others — Marco Rubio, Sarah Palin, Chris Christie, Rudy Giuliani, and Paul Ryan, for example. The difference in bench strength between the two parties is like night and day.

This is not a new problem for Democrats. Although they have managed to win presidential elections over the past few decades there is usually something off kilter with their candidates. For example, there is something a bit weird about Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry, Howard Dean, John Edwards, and Barack Obama. They are not what most people would consider normal. Each in his own way has at least a borderline personality disorder. All of them have difficulty being up front and honest about who they are and about their true objectives.

Now contrast those Democrats to Ronald Reagan, Gerald Ford, Bush 41, Bob Dole, and Bush 43. There is a genuineness about most all the leaders of the Republican Party. They tend to be people who are comfortable in their own skins.

John Edwards was John Kerry’s running mate in the 2004 presidential election. It would be hard now to find a Democrat who would say anything positive about Edwards. He was obviously an extremely flawed choice and most non-Democrats could see that from the outset. Howard Dean had significant support in the 2004 Democrat primaries until his “I have a scream” speech, and it became obvious that the guy is not all there. Nevertheless, Dean was later appointed head of the Democratic National Committee and served in that capacity for four years. Anthony Weiner was a popular rising star in the party until some Internet missteps revealed his serious character flaws.

Why do the Democrats have a propensity to support weirdos? What is it about the Democrat party that prevents normal, well-adjusted people from rising to the top of the party? What does their rogues’ gallery of leaders say about the Democrat base? I don’t have good answers to those questions, but there is obviously something going on and it demonstrates a striking difference between the two parties.

However someone rises to the upper echelons of the Democrat party, the process is not very productive. Whatever kind of farm team they use, it simply isn’t sending many qualified players to the majors.

Democrats love to fall in love with their leaders. Although love is the most wonderful thing in the world, it can be brutal when it comes to judgment. A wise friend of mine once told me, “When love walks in the door, judgment crawls out the window.”

Democrats clearly fell head over heels for Barack Obama. A lot of them have now fallen out of love with him and are scratching their heads wondering, “What were we thinking? This guy is not who we thought he was.” The answer, of course, is that they were not thinking. They were love-struck. Especially when love is new you do not want to hear anything negative about your sweetheart. That might explain why Democrats so often make choices they subsequently regret.

The Democrat dearth of viable leaders is not likely to disappear anytime soon. The Republican Party is certainly not problem-free, but a shortage of strong candidates is not one of them. That should give them a valuable advantage for years to come.

Make Way for Mini-Labor

The Democrat party is an amalgam of special interest groups — environmentalists, trial lawyers, minorities, college professors, and labor unions, for example. All of these groups, however, are not equally crucial to the survival of the party. Far and away the most important, of course, is organized labor.

The British equivalent to our Democrat party is the Labour party. If there were truth in labeling, that would be the name of the Democrat party. Only the spelling would change.

The Democrat party has numerous reasons to be worried. Possibly the biggest is the degree to which it is dependent on organized labor for its continued success and possibly even its existence. Where would Democrats be without unions, and vice versa? As much as they trumpet the value of diversity, Democrats are dangerously under-diversified.

Only labor unions have the ability to automatically and involuntarily extract campaign funds from their members. Unions have become the equivalent to a guaranteed income for the Democrat party.

Automatic payroll deduction makes unions qualitatively different from any other Democrat support group. Republican governors are currently making great progress in rescinding automatic payroll deduction for public employees in several states.

There is little or no difference between the goals of labor unions and the Democrat party. Their political philosophies are indistinguishable. Both, for example, view people not as individuals but rather as members of groups, all of whom are to have equal incomes, regardless of effort or merit. Although both Democrats and unions would vigorously deny being socialists, both are strongly sympathetic to socialistic ideals.

Much of the most destructive legislation of the past eighty years has been the products of the unholy alliance between the Democrat party and organized labor. Besides being far and away the greatest source of campaign funds, unions have provided a dependable army of disciplined foot soldiers for the Democrat party.

Their alliance has been a major factor in the success of both. The unions rely on the Democrats to bend the rules in their favor — being exempted from anti-trust and restraint of trade regulations, for example. Everyone else and the economy end up worse off. Unions are rarely prosecuted for widespread corruption, threats of violence, and blatant intimidation. They have been allowed to play by a different set of rules.

Democrats need unions to deliver money and votes, unions need Democrats to deliver legislation that works in their interest. As both organized labor and the Democrat party decline in power, what each can deliver for the other will diminish. Each side of the symbiotic relationship must have power and vitality in order to keep the relationship working.

If the Democrat party finds itself in the minority for an extended period of time, it will be unable to deliver the legislation. The energy necessary to propel the system will peter out. In fact, it’s already begun. Democrats were unsuccessful in passing “card check” even when they had majorities in both the House and Senate. Unions are not happy about that.

Organized labor is 100 percent devoted to the Democrat party. Neither should be at all surprised that Republicans are now working to diminish the power of unions. It is only natural for Republicans to be seeking to weaken their opponents’ basic support apparatus. Someone should remind Democrats, “Live by the sword, die by the sword.”

Less than seven percent of private-sector workers now belong to unions. That is a number that probably scares the hell out of Democrats. Thirty-six percent of government workers are unionized. If public-sector history repeats private-sector trends, the implications are profound. As Washington Post columnist, Robert Samuelson, put it, “Big Labor became Little Labor. If public-sector unions fail, Little Labor could become Mini-Labor.” I would only add — and the once powerful Democrat party will become the Mini-Democrat party. It’s way too soon to know for sure, but for Democrats it could be that the party’s over.
